Meet the Founder

Kelvine M., the mind behind Birdsology, has been passionate about nature, wildlife, and conservation from an early age. Growing up on a ranch fostered a deep love for the natural world, from gardening to observing butterflies, moths, and birds in their habitats. Over the years, this interest evolved into a dedication to studying and documenting the beauty of wildlife through writing and photography.

With a degree in Agricultural and Life Sciences from the University of Florida, Kelvine has contributed to biodiversity research through work with Fauna and Flora International, focusing on field investigations and conservation reports. As an active member of NABA and a regional coordinator for BAMNONA since 2017, Kelvine remains deeply involved in environmental advocacy.

Having lived across multiple states—including Texas, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Washington, Michigan, California, and Massachusetts—as well as spending time abroad in England, Germany, and Turkey, Kelvine brings a global perspective to birdwatching and ecological studies. Currently, home is split between Florida and Alabama, where the surrounding landscapes continue to fuel the passion for birds and wildlife.
